Payment terms
01What these terms cover
These terms apply when your company pays Brighterloom online, through a payment link we sent you for an engagement we've quoted. They sit alongside the proposal you accepted; where the two differ, the proposal applies.
We work with businesses only. By paying, you confirm you're acting for a company, not as a consumer.
02Price and VAT
The price is the one in your proposal and on the payment page. Prices are shown excluding VAT, and VAT is added where it applies. For businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number, the reverse-charge rule usually applies and the invoice says so.
Your invoice and receipt are emailed to the address you give at checkout.
03One-off payments
A one-off engagement, such as the Systems & AI Audit, is paid in full before the work starts. We agree the kickoff date with you within one working day of payment.
04Monthly subscriptions
A Systems Partner subscription is charged monthly in advance, on the same date each month, until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal or by email to hello@brighterloom.com. Cancelling stops the next charge; the month you've already paid for runs to its end.
If a monthly payment fails, Stripe retries it and we email you. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, work pauses until it's settled.
05Refunds
REFUND POLICY — for example: if we cancel an engagement before it starts, you get a full refund; once work has started, fees for work already done are not refunded.
06How payments are processed
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland). Card and bank details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself.
07Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. COURTS — e.g. the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law requires otherwise.
08Changes
If these terms change, the version on this page on the day you pay is the one that applies to that payment.
